Spiritual Care & Direction
Helping people sort out faith and relationships with church, God, or the world
Religion can be a wonderful thing, though it isn’t always, and sometimes it can be a challenge to navigate it.
Churches and spiritual communities can sometimes leave us with wounds and scars that call for healing. Other times, it’s just confusing trying to make sense of spiritual experiences or realities when they seem elusive or invisible. And often, it’s just good to have someone who can help you sort through what’s happening between you and God or your soul or your internal world.
As a spiritual care practitioner and a spiritual director, I’ve long been walking alongside people working to deconstruct their faith, navigate their relationship with church, explore what they feel like God is doing – or isn’t.
Clients may not walk away from every session feeling like they’ve had a tremendous revelation, but most times, they tell me they’re glad someone is listening and understands or at least holds a safe space for them to work things out.

I was trained in spiritual direction at the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Biola University and at Regis College.
A note:
Spiritual care and spiritual direction are slightly different supports. Spiritual care is specifically a form of psychotherapy whereas direction may differ slightly in structure, format, and expectations. For more info, you’re welcome to contact me to discuss what’s most suitable for you.
